When I mentioned to my dad that I was going to start taking karate classes with my daughter he said "Don't you think you're too old and clumsy for that?"You're never too old to learn something new!

1/9/2003 · No age is too old. My instructor in in his fifties and still goes at it and his father nearing 80 is just as healthy if not more so. I think the Martial Arts (although taught for self-defense, and can be quite damaging when used effectivly) is one of the few things that a person can do for thier entire life without major injury as long as you train intelligently.

Karate It's NEVER too late to try anything!!!! Go for it!! No! A good karate school can teach any age level. I have a student that started a couple months ago that is 62 and is doing well.
